Gazprom EP International Renovates a First-Aid Station in Nam Dinh, Vietnam
In 2021, Gazprom EP International in partnership with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Petrovietnam made a charitable donation to the Hop Hung Commune of the Vu Ban District, Nam Dinh Province. The donated amount was used to renovate a first-aid station that provides medical services to more than 7 thousand residents of the commune.
The Vu Ban District of the Nam Dinh Province is located in Northern Vietnam in the immediate proximity of the South China Sea coast and suffers from annual storms, typhoons and floods severely damaging the commune infrastructure. The renovation allowed improving significantly the quality of the medical services and qualified medical aid provided to local residents.
Apart from this, in 2021, some of the donations went to the National Vietnamese COVID-19 Vaccine Fund fighting the novel coronavirus infection.
Gazprom EP International and Petrovietnam regularly provide aid to the provinces in a desperate situation: in 2015 a kindergarten was built in the An Ninh Dong Commune of the Phu Yen Province; in 2020 charitable donations allowed restoring the farmer houses destroyed by the hurricane in the Hung Yen Province.
Gazprom Group's strategy of entering new international markets views Vietnam as one of the Asia-Pacific countries with the highest potential for energy projects. Gazprom’s interests in Vietnam are represented by Gazprom EP International, a specialized company for overseas exploration, production and power generation projects. The company operates in a dozen of countries across three continents and is involved in nearly 20 projects of varying magnitude.
Currently Gazprom EP International is about to start the Quang Tri Gas-Fired Power Plant construction project in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and actively participates in the development of the NGV market in Vietnam in cooperation with PV Gas.
