GI Training Holds GDPR Webinar

Gazprom International Training held a webinar entitled “New GDPR Requirements” attended by various experts from Gazprom Group subsidiaries who are continuously in touch with European partners, a range of professionals encompassing legal, HR, IT, and corporate security.

Founder and Chief Knowledge Officer at Belgium’s Cranium Bavo van den Heuvel moderated the webinar. He spoke about the best ways to protect corporate data focusing on those pertaining to oil and gas companies. The webinar examined both upside and downside cases ruling out risks of breaching legislation or data leakage risks.

“The participants have demonstrated great interest in practicing applications of legislation,” Bavo van den Heuvel says. “We focused on the real-life examples of how the European market deals with the protection of electronic information.”

“What we primarily sought was provide Gazprom Group businesses with information security against both external and internal threats,” Head of Development and Marketing at Gazprom International Training Grigory Krotkov says. “We expect that the participants will both handle data with due care and diligence and encourage their colleagues and partners to do so in joint projects. This subject being of value and relevance, we will continue offering GDPR workshops next year involving Europe’s leading experts therein.”
