PetroVietnam Specialists Complete Training

From 09 to 11 September, Gazprom EP International held a remote training for 13 specialists of PetroVietnam and its subsidiaries at the instruction of Gazprom. In view of the complicated global epidemiological situation, it was decided for the first time ever to hold the training using the remote technologies.

Deputy Head of Directorate of Gazprom Ms. Irina Inzhevatova, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources Division of PetroVietnam Ms. Le Thi Lam Tra and Deputy Director, HR & Legal, of Gazprom EP International Mr. Alexander Nikiforov took part in the program opening ceremony.

“This was our first experience of an online training. We tried to make it as useful as possible for our Vietnamese partners, and chose the most interesting and useful topics in terms of Gazprom’s operational experience for our presentations and reports”, said A. Nikiforov in his welcome speech.

The three-day course Natural Gas Transportation, Storage and Distribution consisted of a number of presentations and reports on the activities of the Gazprom Group Companies.

The Vietnamese specialists were introduced to the activities of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz LLC, SPbMTSB JSC, Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg LLC, Gazprom UGS LLC, Gazprom LNG Portovaya LLC, Gazprom Pererabotka LLC. The representatives of PetroVietnam attended the course of lectures on Gazprom’s strategy, priority areas of development at the domestic and foreign markets, Russian unified gas supply system, natural gas transportation, storage and distribution.

The participants highly appreciated the organization of the training program and expressed hope for continued cooperation in the area of personnel training and development.

Background

PetroVietnam is a state-owned Vietnamese oil and gas company that explores, produces, processes, transports and sales the hydrocarbons.

Gazprom EP International in partnership with PetroVietnam implements a number of energy projects in Vietnam: from exploration to power generation.

In 2012, Gazprom and PetroVietnam signed a Cooperation Agreement on Personnel Training. Under the Agreement, the Vietnamese specialists annually study for master’s degrees and postgraduate degrees at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. In addition, both companies hold mutual trainings at their production facilities.

Over 8 years, ca. 120 employees of PetroVietnam took part in 12 training programs.
