In the North Sea, Gazprom International also operates via WINZ, a joint venture with Wintershall Dea, wherein the company holds a 50% interest; the JV is active in the UK, Danish, and Dutch sectors of the North Sea. WINZ is a full-cycle operator whose responsibilities include exploring, exploiting, and abandoning gas, condensate, and oil fields.

WINZ’s portfolio includes 36 licenses in the Dutch, UK, and Danish sectors undergoing exploration, production, appraisal, or the selection of the development concept.

WINZ mostly produces from Blocks D, K, L, P, and Q-fields D12-B, K18-Golf, Q1-BD, etc.-in the Dutch sector and Wingate in the UK sector of the North Sea.

In 2021, WINZ took on an additional commitment and started screening its existing assets whose depleted reservoirs can potentially be used to dispose of and store CO2 to meet the requirement imposed by Dutch law concerning the reduction of CO2 emissions.

A team of consummate professionals in oil and gas, finance and corporate business manage the portfolio of WINZ projects. The Central Control Room in Den Helder monitors production and exercises day-to-day supervision over the surface facilities such as platforms, pipelines, and other equipment. The company is headquartered in Rijswijk.
