On Friday, 21 October a delegation from the Joint Operating Company Vietgazprom participated in events dedicated to the Russia Day at the Vietnam International Industrial Fair VIIF-2011. The delegation was headed by CEO Valery Petrenko.
Opening the Russia Day festivities, the head of the Russian Delegation, Russian Federation Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Vladimir Salamatov, remarked that Vietnamese-Russian cooperation is expanding successfully across a wide range of industries, the most important of which being oil production, machine building, and military technology. The event participants then welcomed Dinh Minh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Gennady Bezdetko, Russian Embassy Counselor in Vietnam, and Trade Representative Sergei Briginevich. The Russian exhibit is the largest at the VIIF-2011. It represents over 40 companies from Russia, notably Uralmash Machine Building Corporation, the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, Norilsk Nickel, and New Energy Technologies.
