A team of Gazprom EP International employees was awarded the first prize of the International Contest of Scientific, Technical and Innovative Solutionsaimed at the development of the fuel and energy and extractive industries. Ilia Livshits, Sergey Pechenkin and Alexander Shurupov submitted to the expert panel their project Models and Methods of Information Security Audit for Integrated Management Systems of Complex Industrial Facilities. VII Russian International Energy Forum held the grand awarding ceremony on 25 June in Saint Petersburg.
The project focused on the development of theoretical basis for generating prospective approaches and application of new methods to ensure the information security in the integrated management systems. When applied this will allow to improve methods for assessing the information security for complex industrial facilities based on an optimal set of risk-oriented standards within integrated management systems. The proposed approach ensures effective counteraction to the destructive actions of intruders, achieving the required security level and minimizing losses in the event of risk for information security systems, as well as increasing the degree of compliance with legislative requirements.
The International Contest of Scientific, Technical and Innovative Solutions aimed at the development of the fuel and energy and extractive industries is held annually with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy as part of the work on the innovative development of the fuel and energy and extractive industries and the development of human resources.
This year 86 companiesrelated to oil and gas, coal and peat, power industry, renewable energy, pipeline transportation, nuclear energy and mining submitted 197 projects in 12 different categories ranging from automated information processing and management systems, computer technologies, equipment modernization and repair to field geological studies, financial and economic activity, energy efficiency and power saving.
