Gazprom EP International participated in the Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum held in Sochi.
On October 23, the first day of the event, Alexander Kim, Managing Director of Gazprom International, Vladimir Ilyanin, Deputy Managing Director for GR and International Cooperation, Dmitry Martsinkovsky, Director of the Gazprom PJSC Representative Office in Algeria and Andrey Maslov, Deputy Director of the said Representative Office, held a number of high-level meetings including those with Timipre Sylva, Nigerian State Minister for Petroleum Resources, and with the official delegation from Cameroon.
Moreover, the representatives of Gazprom EP International and the Representative Office of Gazprom PJSC in Algeria attended a meeting of the Work Group for Equatorial Guinea chaired by Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Chairman of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
The Russia-Africa Summit took place on October 23-24, 2019 in Sochi, co-presided by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Arabic Republic of Egypt and Chairperson of the African Union Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum gathered official representatives from all the 54 African countries, out of which 45 were represented by Heads of State and Government.
Plenary sessions discussed a wide array of matters on the international agenda, which are of greatest interest to Russia and Africa.
The closure of the two days of the Forum saw the signing of a declaration by all of the top-level participants. This declaration covers the objectives of further cooperation between Russia and Africa in all key aspects, including politics, economy, health, commerce, education, culture, among others.
