Between 23 September and 6 October the employees of Oil and Gas Corporation Petrovietnam, one of the Gazprom largest partners in Southeast Asia, completed the introductory training at the production facilities of the Russian gas company.
In 2012, Gazprom and Petrovietnam entered into a five-year Personnel Training Agreement as part of strategic partnership development. According to it, Vietnamese specialists are trained in Russia and abroad, including the production facilities of Gazprom International. In 2016, the Agreement was extended for five years, which confirms the high appreciation of the experience gained at the Gazprom Group companies.
The training program on “Gas and Gas-Condensate Field Development and Production” was drawn up by Gazprom International and included a theoretical part and visits to various facilities of the Gazprom subsidiaries as well. The Vietnamese partners got acquainted with the activities of Gazprom VNIIGAZ, Science and Technology Center of Excellence, and visited main gas pipelines related facilities of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, the facilities of steam-gas power generation of Gazprom Energoholding, the production facilities of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar, and the offices of Gazprom International and Gazpromviet (a joint Russian-Vietnamese company).
The Petrovietnam delegation visited the Main Gas Pipeline Transportation Museum and learnt about the history of Russian gas transportation network development, the stages of major gas pipelines construction, and innovative technologies applied by Gazprom in this area.
The Vietnamese specialists were told about the experience gained during Gazprom foreign projects implementation at the Moscow Branch of Gazprom International. The Russian colleagues shared their best practices in the field of exploration activities.
At Gazprom Energoholding, a subsidiary for managing Gazprom energy assets, the guests visited CHPP-20 where they were demonstrated operation of the steam-power and steam-gas generator units under various operating conditions and were told about the specifics of the thermal power station operation. After that, they visited the museum of Mosenergo.
The second part of the training took place at Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar and included a visit to the production facilities of oil and gas fields and the facilities for monitoring emergency recovery works.
The training program covered the entire chain of Gazprom energy production and the operation of the world's largest gas transportation system. The Vietnamese colleagues highly appreciated technological equipment of the Gazprom production facilities and professional qualification of its personnel. The guests thanked Russian colleagues for the training and expressed hope for further cooperation in the field of personnel training.
